How Can I Serve?
Original painting by Megan Mueller, Founder of Whistle
The story
This painting began on top of Airport Mesa in Sedona, Arizona. I sat down on the red rock at the vortex site, closed my eyes, and let the wind and the quiet do their work. I went up there hoping to hear a message. What came was a question, so clear it felt spoken directly to me: How can I serve?
I carried those words home and painted what I felt in that moment. Two hands rise from opposite sides of the canvas, one in deep greens and one in ocean blues, reaching toward each other like the mountains in Sedona. Between them, in the open space where they almost meet, the question waits.
To me, the hands are giving and receiving, earth and water, you and your neighbor. The question belongs to whoever is standing in front of it.
